Age Verification Policy
Access to this site requires confirming you are at least 21 years old. Here is exactly how that works and what we keep.

The 21+ requirement
No part of our catalog is reachable without passing an age check. On your first visit you are asked for your date of birth before any product page, price, cart or checkout is available. This applies to every page and to our own internal interfaces — there is no link that bypasses it.
How the check works
- You enter a full date of birth. We do not ask a yes/no question, because a yes/no box is not a check.
- Your age is computed on our server. Your browser is not trusted to decide the outcome.
- If you are 21 or older, we issue a cryptographically signed cookie that lasts 30 days so you are not asked again on every visit. The cookie cannot be forged or edited to fake a pass.
- If you are under 21, access is refused and no catalog content is served.
- Where bot protection is enabled, an automated-traffic check runs alongside the age check.
What we record
Every submission is recorded, whether it passes or fails. Each record contains the outcome (pass or fail), the date and time, the IP address, the browser user agent, and an anonymous session identifier.
We do not store your date of birth. It is used to compute the result and is then discarded. Retaining a date of birth would create a privacy liability without adding anything to the compliance record.
These records are append-only. Once written they cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including our own staff. They are retained as evidence for regulators, auditors and our payment providers. See our Privacy Policy for the effect this has on deletion requests.
The researcher attestation
Passing the age check is not sufficient to order. Before an order can be submitted you must separately confirm the following statement, which is never pre-ticked on your behalf:
I certify that I am at least 21 years old, am a qualified researcher or purchasing on behalf of a research organization, and that all products purchased will be used solely for in-vitro laboratory research and NOT for human or animal consumption. I have read and agree to the Research Use Disclaimer and Terms of Service.
Each attestation is recorded with the exact wording agreed to and its version number, so a later change to the wording never alters what a past purchaser actually agreed to. A copy is shown on your order confirmation.
Misrepresentation
Entering a false date of birth or a false attestation is a breach of our Terms of Service. We may cancel affected orders, refuse future orders, and retain the record of the attempt.
